Position Overview: Under the direction of the SAP Business Systems Analyst Lead or a senior Business Systems Analyst, the Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Level II supports the adoption, configuration, and ongoing support of SAP HRMS solutions. This suite includes e-Recruitment, Payroll, Employee Self Service (ESS), Manager Self Service (MSS), Organizational Management (OM), Training & Event Management and related interfaces such as integration between LDAP directories and Microsoft Active Directory (AD).
The BSA Level II participates in requirements analysis, configuration, testing, and process improvement activities, working collaboratively within the SAP Applications team. The role focuses on supporting existing HRMS functionality, assisting with enhancements, and contributing to solution implementation and product adoption efforts.
As part of the ongoing S/4HANA implementation, the BSA Level II will support project activities related to SAP SuccessFactors and Employee Central Payroll (ECP). This includes assisting with functional design, integration support, data migration activities, and testing within a hybrid SAP landscape under the guidance of senior team members.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in system testing related to enhancements, defect resolution, upgrades, support pack installations, and SAP projects.
- Assist with SAP system enhancements, including:
- Gathering and documenting business requirements
- Supporting the development of functional and technical specifications
- Coordinating with developers
- Developing and executing test scripts
- Analyzing test results
- Assisting with the rollout of system changes to users - Work with internal and external partners (e.g., SAP, consultants, contractors) to support solution analysis and issue resolution using standard SAP tools and functionality.
- Escalate complex issues to senior analysts while managing assigned tasks and priorities effectively.
- Communicate functional and technical information clearly to business users and technical teams.
- Participate in testing initiatives and support the execution of defined test plans and test strategies.
- Maintain awareness of SAP HRMS enhancements, support packs, and roadmap updates relevant to assigned modules.
- Participate in the S/4HANA implementation project, supporting fit-gap analysis, functional design reviews, and testing of HRMS components.
- Assist with the deployment and integration of SAP SuccessFactors modules (e.g., Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Learning) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
- Support data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities between SAP ECC and cloud-based HR platforms using tools such as Business Integration Builder (BIB) and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support alignment of HR processes during the transition to S/4HANA.
- May assist with the development and delivery of end-user training materials and knowledge transfer documentation.
Qualifications:
- A four year Bachelor degree (Commerce with Management of Information Systems (MIS) major preferred, or a related discipline) from a recognized university plus a minimum of two years related business analyst experience
OR - A two year Diploma in Business Administration or related discipline from an institute of recognized standing plus a minimum of four years related business analyst experience.
OR - Grade 12 and a Business Analyst Certificate plus a minimum of six years related business analyst experience.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to perform business systems analysis activities, including requirements gathering, documentation, system testing, analysis of test results, and application support.
- Experience supporting SAP HRMS modules such as Payroll, e-Recruitment, Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service, and Environmental Health & Safety Management is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of Human Resources business processes, policies, and practices, particularly those related to Payroll and core HR functions.
- General understanding of integration points between SAP HRMS and other SAP modules (e.g., Finance, Controlling) and non-SAP applications.
- Basic understanding of the System Development Lifecycle and related tools and methodologies (e.g., ServiceNow, Macroscope).
- Strong personal computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Ability to assist in the development and delivery of end-user system training.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and security of highly sensitive personal and payroll information.
Salary Range Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $37.10-$51.34 Hourly, $71,091.28-$98,368.66 Annually.
